Man arrested following stabbing

A MAN was arrested following a stabbing.

A 34-year-old Chelmsford man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent, theft and taking a motor vehicle without consent.

It follows an incident at a flat in Lupin Drive, Chelmsford, at 12.39 on Monday May 12, in which a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach.

The 20-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Broomfield Hospital and remains in a stable condition.

The 34-year-old man received head injuries and was taken by ambulance to Colchester General Hospital.

The 34-year-old man has been released on police bail pending further inquiries until June 25.
